Lonely, Even When You Hold Me

I wonder if I’m enough, have I done something wrong?

The echoes of ‘beautiful’ are drifting, spacing apart, dissipating, like your calls

Your silences are louder than my screams for you –

Clingy

Needy

Am I?

Are you? No, were you?

I love you

Loved – love

I’m confused my dear

I need you here, send help soon

My fingers are wasting away from tapping, restless for you

Apologetic in sentiment but it’s all empty, hollow like me

Now I’m lonely, even when you hold me.
